Resection of a Concha Bullosa 1

Description : This patient has a large left Concha Bullosa.

When viewed through the endoscope, this large concha bullosa appears to be a paradoxically bent relatively normal sized middle turbinate.

The endoscope tends to make enlarged middle turbinates appears to be smaller than they actually are.

For this reason, it is a good idea to view the middle turbinate directly using a nasal speculum in order to assess its “true size”.
