Image guidance systems are invaluable in preoperative planning. Reviewing the patient's CT scans utilizing the 3 axis view enables the surgeon to identify the location and extent of the pathology and its relationship to those structures which must be avoided e.g. orbits, optic nerve, cribriform plate etc.
